Cardozo School of Law in New York, New York, and received her LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. Stacey has been a member of New York and Tennessee bars since 2003. Stacey practices in the areas of Tax, Estate Planning, Entertainment, and Intellectual Property law.<\/p>\n

After receiving her LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown, Stacey worked for KPMG and Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Stacey was an associate at Drescher & Sharp, PC before founding SchlitzLAW in 2010. Today, Stacey represents some of the world\u2019s most renowned entertainers, composers, and music publishers in the areas of tax, estate planning, intellectual property, corporate planning, contract negotiations, and litigation. She also represents sports agents, trade groups, and municipalities in her litigation practice.<\/p>\n

Stacey has conducted seminars for Continuing Legal Education, including \u201cA Matter of Life and Death: the Current State of Right of Publicity Law in Entertainment and Sports\u201d for the Nashville Bar Association\u2019s Annual Entertainment, Sports, & Media Law Seminar, December 2016; \u201cNew Media Transmissions: Am I Covered Under My Radio License?\u201d for the Country Radio Seminar in February 2016; \u201cEstate Planning for Artists: Protecting Your Creativity\u201d for the Tennessee Lawyers and Professionals for the Arts, October 2009; and \u201cWhen You Say Nothing At All: What Lawyers Can Learn from Songwriters,\u201d developed in conjunction with Judge Thomas Marten of the United States District of Kansas, December 2008. Stacey was the editor of the Tennessee Bar Association\u2019s Entertainment and Sports Newsletter in 2008-2009.<\/p>\n

Stacey serves on the Board of Directors of the Country Music Association, serving as Chair of the Compensation and Personnel Committee in 2013 and 2017, and chair of the Governance Committee in 2016.
